New Immigration System in the United Kingdom – Tier 3 Type Visa
There has been a significant overhaul of the entire immigration procedure in the United Kingdom in the past year. Now, the country has switched to a tier based system of awarding visas to applicants who want to come here and work for the UK government.
The tier system employs five different classifications, each with a different set of criteria that the applicant must fulfill, in order to be able to have a decent career in the UK. Everyone including students and educated professionals to migrant laborers have been included in the system and the visa is given out depending upon the total number of base points they score, calculated using a number of parameters. The new system has helped in making the visa process more transparent and a lot easier for the applicants to get their respective work permits.
The Tier 3 visa type is worth mentioning here. It is basically meant for migrant laborers or for workers who do not specialize in a particular area. The system is ideal for workers who work in a seasonal fashion and are non-specific in the nature of work that they carry out.
The system also makes sure that the laborer does not overstay his welcome, i.e., the visa expires after a certain period and makes sure that the person does not settle down permanently in the country.
